Alcohol and Your Child: What Every Parent Should Know This NYS OASAS (Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services) publication provides information to assist parents in understanding the importance of their role in protecting their children from the problems associated with underage drinking. Also includes information about the laws related to this issue.

www.acde.org The American Council for Drug Education is a substance abuse prevention and education agency, with programs and materials based on current research.
www.drugfreeamerica.org Partnership for a Drug-Free America (PDFA). An organization that works with the advertising industry to develop anti-drug public service messages. It operates a comprehensive Web site for parents, including an e-newsletter. (212) 922-1560.
www.faceproject.org A national non-profit for alcohol awareness. Offers posters, materials, and advertising resources on the dangers of alcohol for organizing and action.
www.madd.org/under21/ Mothers Against Drunk Driving's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. Their website offers suggestions for parents, teachers and others.
www.mediacampaign.org National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign provides news articles, publications and other resources for parents and youth leaders.
A Parent’s Guide to the Teen Brain provides information on adolescent brain development for parents and caregivers, explains “normal” teen behaviors—impulsiveness, rebellion, high emotions and risk-taking,—and how to use this new information to connect with teens.
